What size gun belt should I order?

Step 1 — Measure an Existing Belt (Most Accurate)

Find a belt that currently fits you well. Lay it flat and measure from the point where the buckle tongue meets the leather to the hole you use most frequently. If your measurement falls between whole numbers, round up to the next whole size.

Step 2 — Sizing from Your Pants Size

If you do not have a current belt to measure, use the following guidelines:

  • IWB (Inside-the-Waistband) Carry — Add 2 sizes to your pants size: Example: 36" pants size = order a size 40 belt
  • OWB (Outside-the-Waistband) Carry — Add 1 size to your pants size: Example: 36" pants size = order a size 38 belt

Adjustment Range

Every Single Shot Belt ships standard with 7 adjustment holes spaced 3/4" apart. The center hole corresponds to your ordered belt size, providing over 2 inches of total adjustment range — enough to accommodate seasonal layering, clothing variation, and minor fit differences between holster setups.
