To achieve the higher ride height, the magnets are repositioned within the holster body. This reduces the magnetic retention force at the firearm itself compared to the Original Magnetic Gun Holster. The attachment of the holster to your waistband remains as strong as the Original — that pull force is unchanged. But the grip on the firearm within the holster is reduced. This is a deliberate engineering trade-off to accommodate the high-ride position.
Additionally, this holster sacrifices some of the cross-use versatility that other holsters in the JM4 Tactical lineup offer. If maximum versatility across carry positions and clothing styles is your priority, another model may be a better fit. Every Tuckable High-Ride Magnetic Holster is made from Grade A Vegetable Tanned U.S. Steerhide — 100% Full Grain, pH balanced specifically for gun contact. The pH-balanced leather will not damage the bluing or finish of your firearm, even with daily carry.
Black and brown holsters are made from 100% Full Grain Grade A U.S. Steerhide and are hand dyed using high-grade dyes.
Sweat Guard and Sizing Notes
A sweat guard is included as standard on all sizes, with the exception of the Large. For sizes above the Large, the sweat guard is more pronounced.

However, the magnetic retention at the firearm itself is reduced in the Tuckable High-Ride due to magnet repositioning for the higher ride height. The waistband hold is unchanged, but the grip on the firearm within the holster is reduced — a designed trade-off that should be considered when selecting the right holster for your needs.
